How did you come to be with Henkel?
I am a qualified business administrator, and before starting with Henkel I was employed by a carpet manufacturer in Wuppertal. It was there that I first came into contact with Henkel products. As a result of a cold application I then landed up here in the company, in 2003, and went straight into the industrial adhesives sales department.

What does your job involve?
I process the orders for the Liofol range of adhesives.  At first I was responsible for servicing customers in Asia, but now I concentrate on servicing the southern part of Germany and just one part of Asia. My job involves topping up the existing consignment stocks and accounting for withdrawals.

What do you like about your work?
My work is very varied and responsible, and I enjoy the daily contact with customers. It is also encouraging to work in a part of the business that ranks among the most profitable.

Have you been on any training courses?
At the moment I am on an internal English course, to improve my knowledge of the language. I have in the past had opportunities to join education schemes and training courses. Henkel sets great store by training, which suits me fine.

Is there anything about Henkel that strikes you particularly?
My induction went very smoothly. Everything was well organised, and there was always someone around to answer my questions. The working atmosphere is generally very good. It’s pleasant to work with such a good team and to be entrusted with such interesting work.
