Your uploaded zip-files (your video and CVs) should not exceed the size of 10MB. To reduce the size of your video files you may use simple movie making programs which are available on many computers. Alternatively you can download it for free online.
Note that the picture quality is not an evaluation criterion.
1st round: National Pre-Selections
What to deliver as a team
For the national pre-selections you need to create a 120 second video which you can upload on the website. Prepare your creative idea of how product needs in terms of personal care and laundry & home care will develop in 2050. In both sectors we ask you to refer to a situation at people’s homes.
Central question in this context is:
How can Henkel satisfy the product needs of people in 2050 in terms of personal care or laundry & home care in their homes?
Your 120 second video should include:
• Your vision of the world in 2050 (i.e. how will life be in 2050?)
• Your motivation on the product or product category you selected (i.e. which Henkel brand would you like to take to 2050? Explain this in relation to how you envisioned 2050)
• What exactly your innovative product idea is. Introduce only one idea. (Be creative! It is 2050!)
When starting your project and imagining 2050 we advise you to take economic, demographic, social, environmental and other developments into consideration first. Following your vision of 2050, elaborate on your new creative and innovative product idea and convince us! If you feel like you are "Lost?", check this link. You can also always reach us via the Contact link.
In your video you are free to choose every way of delivering your idea and vision. Anything creative is welcome. Use different scenes and include at least all three team members. You can also make use of extra actors if you like. We do not expect anything professional for this video. You can use your handy-cam recorders, your mobiles etc. to shoot the video.
For this game, Henkel is more interested in the minds behind the ideas than the ideas themselves. As long as you have a consistent imagination of the future and your product idea, the sky is the limit!
Method of delivery
Upload your 120 second video and the CVs of all team members via the link “Upload Video” (as a zip format). Do not forget: Before you upload your video, you have to register as a team.
Once you have finished the uploading process you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Besides, the 1st team to upload a video in each country will win product packages and other prizes from us. So, hurry up!
How will Henkel evaluate your work?
A national top management jury will evaluate the video by means of the following criteria.
• Creativity: originality and uniqueness of your idea and also originality of your presentation based on your video
• Clarity of ideas: clarity of your communicated ideas and the link between how you envision 2050 and which product idea you invented
• Completeness of the idea and adherence to rules: the deliverables for the first round have to be fulfilled, evaluation of how you included these aspects in your video. Hint: the duration of your video will also be a part of this criterion. It will be wise to send a 120-second video.
Timing?
You must upload the video until February 3rd 2009, 4 pm. The link to upload the videos will be closed after this time.
What’s next?
Henkel will select the 10 best ideas in every country and each team will be contacted separately for the results. Qualifying teams will proceed to the national finals. This means you are one step closer to the trip to the Caribbean!
